Whatcom is offering a unique opportunity–including the chance to earn credit and a stipend and learn about information security careers and network with technology business and industry leaders–to high school juniors and seniors with a strong interest in computers and information security. (Is that you, Running Start student?)
At WCC’s Cybersecurity Camp you’ll learn through hands-on cybersecurity activities and finish with a cyberdefense competition.
The camp is made up of six sessions that will be held on WCC’s campus on Saturdays, with the first camp session scheduled for January 5, 2013. Application forms are now available for students to fill out and submit. Application forms are due November 30, 2012. Want some quick camp facts? Here’s a downloadable flyer. For more detailed information about the camp, including earning college credit and a stipend, see the downloadable Q&A sheet. For a press release about the project, click here.
