The WCC Foundation offers many scholarship opportunities that provide funding to Whatcom Community College students to be used for their education at WCC. These scholarships are available to students who demonstrate academic achievement, personal growth, or contributions to fellow students, the College or the community. Applications for WCC Foundation Scholarships are posted annually during Winter Quarter. Applications for the 2014-15 academic year will be available January 15 through February 28, 2014. Award notification is announced during spring quarter and scholarship awards will be disbursed for the 2014-15 academic year—typically Fall, Winter and Spring.

PREPARE EARLY! Please review the full online application. A letter of recommendation is required. To give your reference plenty of time to prepare a thoughtful letter, ask them now. This letter should come from a teacher, counselor, school administrator, or employer. This person should be familiar with you, and the letter should speak to the quality of your work, your commitment to goals, and your support for others.
CLICK HERE TO APPLY! Completion of the General Scholarship Application is required for all WCC Foundation scholarships. The application process is very simple; one General Application qualifies you for all the WCC Foundation scholarships you may be eligible for.
All Foundation Scholarships have the following criteria:
- Be a student in good academic standing
- Demonstrate a solid work ethic and community engagement
- Demonstrate commitment to goals, and self-motivation and growth
