The ASWCC (Associated Students of Whatcom Community College) is excited to announce their second annual social justice conference, Students Leading Change! The theme of this year’s conference will be Make Your Mark. It will be held in the Syre Student Center on May 30th 2015, from 8:00am – 4:30pm and is FREE and open to all. Registration includes access to student led workshops, a conference t-shirt, performances, a resource fair, participation prizes, lunch and the opportunity to hear our keynote speaker, Michael Benitez Jr, a “national social justice educator and activist-scholar with extensive experience in education and campus diversity issues.”

This is a student led and student run conference! Students are encouraged to submit workshop proposals for this event, by May 1st. Contact Victoria Matey at with any questions or information about the conference or workshop proposals!  We hope to see you there.
