In the 2015-2016 scholarship cycle, Hispanic Scholarship Fund selected more than 4,400 Scholars funded by many different companies and organizations. The HSF application opens January 1st and allows students to apply for multiple scholarships with one application! Awards range from $500-$5,000 and may be used for the institution and major of choice. Create your MyHSF profile and get ready now, to apply for scholarships January 1st!

Eligibility for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarships:

  • Must be of Hispanic heritage
  • U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, DACA or eligible non-citizen (as defined by FAFSA)
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
  • Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited 4-year university in the fall of the desired scholarship year
  • Complete FAFSA or Dream Act (if applicable)

The deadline for the HSF scholarship is March 30th 2016.

If you have not already registered for spring quarter, it is time! General Registration starts today, Wednesday March 16th!  We recommend that you register as soon as possible, as classes will fill up fast!

Tuition Deadline Approaching!

Heads-up!  Know these important dates so you aren’t dropped from your classes due to non-payment:

  • If you registered between February 29th and March 20th, tuition is due Monday March 21st.
  • For registration from March 21st to March 30th, your tuition is due March 31st!
  • If you register on or after March 31st, your tuition will be due day of registration.

Just a reminder! The financial aid priority deadline for the 2016-2017 school year is approaching in 6 days. Submit your FAFSA now!

March 15th marks the priority deadline for completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as the FAFSA! Complete your application by this date and you are guaranteed to have your award ready for the 2016-2017 academic year. You are also more likely to be eligible for grant dollars that have limited funds like State Need Grant.

If you have not yet applied, for financial aid for next year please do so now! Follow the steps at Whatcom’s Financial Aid website, to make sure you are set for the upcoming academic year!

Apply now for the 2016 Whatcom Women in Business Scholarships! Applications are due by April 30th! 

“This year, Whatcom Women in Business will be awarding four (4) $5,000.00 scholarships to women entering higher education including but not limited to technical or trade school, beauty school, community college or university. Applicants must be a high school graduate by Spring 2016 and a current Whatcom County resident. Finalists are selected based on their application, goals, past grades, community involvement and volunteer, extra-curricular activities, work experience as well as financial need.

The finalists will be contacted to schedule an interview, non-finalists will receive a notification letter. Selected recipients will be required to volunteer up to 20 hours with Whatcom Women in Business prior to September 1st.”

In addition to the scholarship application, applicants need to provide past transcripts or written documentation of acceptance to a post secondary institution, a cover letter, and two letters of reference.
